Goals of AIM
To provide a safe, non-threatening, and fun atmosphere where youth can realize their value and self worth.
To counteract current negative youth trends.
To enable local youth to participate in
activities which normally are not available to them; thereby giving them a sense of
accomplishment and enriching their lives.
To educate youth about the needs of the community through involvement with
organizations and individuals who endeavor to meet those needs.
To teach and enhance social skills and teamwork through sports and other activities.
To provide positive role models of children and their parents through adult mentoring.
To create a nurturing community
environment that touches children with
compassion and respect.
To establish positive friendships and the feeling of being liked and respected.
To foster a sense of community pride and commitment to social responsibility.
To change the community's view of “at-risk” children.
To nurture positive child/parent interaction.
